I'm into baking cake, sewing and video games.
I have had a fascination with Japan for as long as I can remember, ever since I was a small child watching anime for the first time, which was mainly Cardcaptor Sakura and Pokémon. As I learnt more about the rich culture and history, the fascination only grew.
I went to university in Coventry to study business and theatre, with the intention of becoming a costume designer. However, after graduation I soon became obsessed with Cosplay and set up a business making and selling Pokémon hats.
I came to Japan for the first time in 2018 and I was memorized with it. It was everything I imagined it would be and I had a sense of belonging far beyond what I ever felt in England. I didn`t want to leave. Fast forward 1 year and I was in the same job that I had had for many years, and I wanted to do something new and exciting and decided to use the money I had been saving to move to Japan on a working holiday visa. It was a sudden decision that I don`t regret, despite the fact that my Japanese is lacking and I miss my family everyday.
I have now become a part of the OEC family and I love it! Teaching is something new to me but it`s something I am becoming passionate about more and more everyday. Although I love meeting new people and learning more about Japan from the wonderful students I teach, it is my dream to one day open an English bakery in Japan and give everyone the best afternoon tea experience.
I`m looking forward to teaching you in the future!
