Playing games or being a gamer is a very different experience than in America. Mobile games and single player games are more popular in Japan. In America, console and pc multiplayer games are more popular and a very common way to make new friends or meet new people. Playing games with friends is a very easy way to hang out while staying at home and saving money.
I started playing online PC games when I was 14 years old and met friends from Canada that I still play games with today. Now I play games with my girlfriend because we can`t go out and drink or travel. We enjoy playing Apex Legends on our computers or exercising with the Ring Fit Adventure.
Many people play mobile games like Pokemon Go or Rise of Kingdom, but I`m very impatient and can`t wait days to keep playing my games.
