Hi, I’m Bianca from the Philippines!
I love movies, TV series, books, tennis, running, and coffee hopping. I especially enjoy visiting places like Nakazaki for its pre-war aesthetics; it’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Japan is known for many things but since moving here, I’ve discovered that Japan is also an amazing place for running. The parks and nature make it hard to stay indoors, and I recently joined the Hikyakyu Marathon - part race, part festival, all Japanese culture.
I also love reading, especially books with Japanese influence. Lately, I’ve enjoyed Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life and Wabi Sabi: The Japanese Art of Impermanence.
One of my favorite Japanese sayings is “I chigo i chie.” Let’s talk about ichigo ichie in class - what’s yours?

映画やドラマ、本、テニス、ランニング、そしてカフェ巡りが大好きです。特に中崎町のような戦前の雰囲気が残る場所に行くのが好きで、ゆったりとコーヒーを楽しむのにぴったりです。
日本は色々なことで知られていますが、こちらに来てから、ランニングに最適な場所でもあると気づきました。公園や自然が多く、家の中にいるのがもったいないです。最近、ヒキャキュウマラソンに参加しました — レースでもあり、祭りでもあり、日本文化を全部体験できるイベントでした。
